King's Trail Petroglyph Walking Tour
Also known as the Mamalahoa Trail, this walk along a lava rock path reveals ancient petroglyph carvings. The trail was built in the mid-1800s for transporting food and essential commodities from the sea coast to upland communities. The free guided tour begins at 10:30 am daily at the King's Shops at Waikoloa Beach Resort.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the resort-style Beach Course is literally carved through the magnificent lava flows along scenic Anaehoomalu Bay. The par-70 Beach Course features numerous sand bunkers, water features and the most spectacular oceanfront par-five in Hawaii on the 502-yard, 12th hole. From this hole golfers can see vistas of neighboring Hawaiian Islands, and in winter, whales breaching offshore.
